Introducing TinyBrownBear

TINYBROWNBEAR

Anyone who loves the history and lore of JRR Tolkien’s hobbits (small and generally ignored by humans) won’t  be surprised to learn that in the most heavily-wooded parts of North America, there is a species of TinyBrownBear, which has been similarly ignored by humans.

NEW DISCOVERY

Recently discovered by explorers from the Small Friends Research Institute, the TinyBrownBear (ursus arctos arctos minor) comes from a heretofore unknown family of very small bears. The largest may be 12 inches, but most are between 7 and 10 inches tall. They range in color from very dark to light brown, and share the characteristic of ermine (Mustela erminae), whose coat changes from dark to white from summer to winter. Unlike the ermine (aka short-tailed weasel), which is known for devastating bird populations and is listed among the world’s 100 worst invasive species, TinyBrownBears are vegetarian.

NOT MAD AT THE TEDDY FAMILY

They are very shy, making friends with other small creatures and hiding as best they can from humans. Among their best friends are Bernard from the Bayeaux Tapestries, whose escape in 1476 took him to their part of the world, and the French LLLama, who allows them to ride on his back. They are very polite and not in the least insulted that bears of the “Teddy” family took over the hearts and minds of small humans.

The original TinyBrownBear is available through at this small friends website and TinyBrownBear prints are available at imagekind.com.
