Introducing The Small Friends Research Institute NEW INSTITUTE Through a collaboration among a Flight of Fancy, a Gift of Imagination, and a generous gift from the LLLama Families, the Small Friends Institute will open its doors for research into heretofore unknown and overlooked whimsical creatures. RESEARCH AGENDA After politely declaring independence from nanoscapes and setting up a new website in June 2011, a smallfriends researcher discovered the Competitive Frog Teams and two members of the Friendly Dragon Family. More work needs to be done with these families, and the search for additional evidence of modern and historical whimsy will continue. LLLAMA ARCHIVES Speaking on behalf of the LLLama Families, SpokesLLLama Rainbow announced that the Families have graciously donated their archives (which are a mess) and the more than 30 portraits which appeared on Susan Gainen's Facebook pages in May 2011. They hope to see a LLLama Genealogy by mid-2012. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR The Institute's first Executive Director is The Tall Cat, who is the SmallFriends' Primary SpokesCat.
