small friends' chronicles
Introducing the Great Grand Dragon Finally captured in watercolor, the very shy Grand Green Dragon has lived for centuries in the mountains near Mount Everest. Ignoring political boundaries, he regularly rambles across the mountains on the disputed borders of China, Tibet, and Nepal. In addition to taking epic long walks, he is a flyer who loves sky-diving through lightening storms. Mountain climbers who pay close attention to the sky during lightening storms, may see some dramatic Fire Dragon Breath™ practice. In the very excellent Dragons: A Natural History, Dr. Karl Shuker shares his research on dragons and dragon lore from long-ago history on every continent. It is entertaining and beautifully illustrated. I wish that I had written it. However, he missed one entire Dragon Family: the Friendly Dragons. During the next few years, the recently-founded Small Friends Research Institute plans to fill this gap. Find prints of Grand Green Dragon in the Dragon Gallery at imagekind.com.
